Randy Hand was born and raised in Minnesota. He relocated to Loveland, Colorado in 1983. His love for art began at an early age, he since has pursued drawing, painting, and now is focusing on sculpting. Randy has participated in the Loveland Sculpture Invitational Show and is also involved with the Sausalito Art Festival in California. He says he didn't get serious about making a living with his art until a good friend, who worked for Disney as an animator, stressed the importance of drawing every day. Since then he has filled volumes of sketch books, and through this practice developed his own unique style. He acquired extensive experience and expertise in the bronze casting process at Art Castings of Colorado where he has worked many years as a specialist in bronze patination. Each of Randy's art pieces has its own personality and carries with it a fantasy or whimsical edge.
